Interpretation of the work by the artist:

This painting was created for a friend of mine, here is her story.

Baseball is for me above all a family tradition. Going to the stadium to see the Expos with my dad…we walked there and we lived next door. My father made his 3 daughters formidable baseball players. For my part, at the age of 13, I was already playing in an adult softball team. I was a pitcher, just like my father and my sisters. I even did a tour with my dad's team, we gave a kind of softball and fastball show. (My father could throw a strike from 2nd base and even from center field). This sport was for me, my adolescence, my life as a young adult and I even continued to play until very recently. Naturally, my son and 2 daughters continued the tradition by playing baseball as well.

In short, I think that's the most beautiful memory I have left when I think of my father who died much too soon.
