Decorative tips from the artist:
I always choose much more sober settings for 2 reasons: the idea is to project people into this setting, as you do when you sell a house, you depersonalize. So fairly bland colors for the colors of the paintings to stand out. And never colors (except small accents) of the painting in the decor, always to highlight it.
 
And as I paint very modern, I often choose the contrast of the oldest or hyper refined decor. The idea is to put the repro in the spotlight. So if similar decor, we miss it.
 
Interpretation of the work by the artist:
This planisphere illustrates the fertile lands filled with extraordinary biodiversity, bathed by the nourishing sea and without geopolitical borders. The living beings inhabiting these rich lands communicate with each other and all challenge each other to preserve the fragile balance that took millennia to establish...
 
Then the human, forgetting the hour of his birth, too proud of his short years of existence and his well-meaning thoughts, grants himself the power to gorge himself ; it empties sea and land of their fauna and flora. It pollutes with its waste. It navigates, flies over and communicates with itself through its large steel freighters. At sea, on land and in the air, he declares himself the Master!
 
It is when the balance is broken that he relearns the art of living from his ancestors. In decline, the human once again becomes the fair and equitable part that he is a priori: a link. The mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms are reconciled and once again become the precious heirs of the elements. Water, earth, fire and air unite again to form the chain of Life that is this planet.
 
If the human were still to forget the size of his place in this world, hope that the tree remembers and hesitates before providing him with the handle of his ax or the wood of his matches!
