Interpretation of the work by the artist:
Sailing on the St Laurent is an important and fascinating source of inspiration for me.
The ocean tides felt as far as Quebec sometimes give boats a hard time. This is a fine example of a breaking wave shaking up the frail sailboats on a background of sun emerging from the city.
La déferlante - Joce
Joce paints the great spaces of Quebec where she has settled, where the seasons are impregnated with the permanent renewal of colors.
Joce also paints French landscapes where she lived for many years in the South West in Collioure.
