Interpretation of the work by the artist:
An abstract background, a subject treated in transparency in a harmony of green and gold. The two chickens just sketched go about their daily business. They wander, peck, scratch, follow each other, do as they please, free...but linked to nature by the rhythm of the seasons. They symbolize the simple life in the country which is mine.

Patricia Jean-Cabot draws her inspiration from observation and her numerous researches. The themes she works on: horses, birds, nature, landscapes, are situated between the representation of things and pictorial abstraction. Her technique associates realistic lines and touches of color.
Intense or soft colors are chosen and prepared by grinding natural pigments mixed with acrylic binder or oil. Many earth tones, ochres and subtle blues.
