Interpretation of the work by the artist:

A figurative symphony in praise of a musical masterpiece. As I was given the vinyl record - yes, the LP - of this splendid suite by Prokofiev, the music often played in the background at home when I was a child. With all its rich characters, their respective musical themes and appointed instruments, it was only natural that I pay tribute to this great work in one of my collages.

  • Photo manipulation can be defined as an amalgam of photography, graphic design and digital editing. This technique requires great skill and precision in the use of Photoshop and other tools, a lot of research and a good dose of patience. It is one of the most creative art forms to come out of digital.

Over the years, especially with the help of tutorials, Sébastien has developed a signature of his own and his creations are matched only by his overflowing imagination.

His style lives between reality and comics, and he uses a palette of bright or contrasting colors, always in harmony with the theme of the work. Diversified and eclectic, from playful art to surrealism, his projects are often the result of the inspiration of the moment. His major sources of inspiration are cinema, Pop Art and American comics, as well as traditional illustration (e.g. Norman Rockwell).

Sébastien's motto, and the message he wishes to convey, is that in the end, it doesn't have to look real. What is important is that the image says something, and above all, that it is pleasing to the eye.
