Interpretation of the work by the artist:

This work where the neutral and organic tones rub shoulders sparkling gold echoes the many riches that nature has to offer. Gold being a symbol of opulence and prosperity, its presence through green and beige suggests that nature is seen as a precious object.

 

On the other hand, this color contrast can be interpreter like the infiltration of human activities in nature in a goal strictly pecuniary.

 

The title mentions avarice since this mania is at the origin of several destructive actions of man towards his environment.
