Decorative tips from the artist:
I always choose much more sober settings for 2 reasons: the idea is to project people into this setting, as you do when you sell a house, you depersonalize. So fairly bland colors for the colors of the paintings to stand out. And never colors (except small accents) of the painting in the decor, always to highlight it.
And as I paint very modern, I often choose the contrast of the oldest or hyper refined decor. The idea is to put the repro in the spotlight. So if similar decor, we miss it.
Interpretation of the work by the artist:
The whole community is busy with the usual preparations to welcome the long-awaited guest with dignity; we draw the dark curtains and the door is opened wide through which the first golden rays of the sun of this extraordinary first day come. Never before has a guest received such a welcome!
It is on this 17th day of Scorpio that the tiny fairy Emilie arrives, adorned with her finery from another world. The hours pass, the folds of her dress fade and her eyes turn grey.
Barely squealing, she enchants with her mere presence, she is the long-awaited ripe fruit.
Since her arrival, the curtains remain wide open, the sun illuminates and dominates the days of the elected community!
Émilie - Bolieu
Trained as a hyperrealist, Bolieu has worked and taught this artistic movement.
Over time, surrealism imposed itself on her, it won her great favor and kept it for a long time; it allowed her a playful figuration by distorting the subject and its color, but keeping a visual fully understandable to all.
